About Dr. Hand

Hello,

I am Dr. Terry Hand, a Marin County plastic surgeon specializing n cosmetic surgery.  I have practiced in Marin for over 25 years and am board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

I attended Temple University Medical School and completed my internships and residencys at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco, the Veterans Administration Hosptital in Martinez, CA and UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA.  While in my plastic surgery residency, I met my lovely wife Lisa  (my office RN).  We relocated to San Rafael when my training was complete and have built a  Marin County cosmetic surgery practice over the last 27 years.

I love what I do and am constantly looking to expand my knowledge of my craft.  I also have a profound respect for my patients that ensures that the surgical techniques and procedures I recommend,  are always geared to produce the best cosmetic result and are in the best interest of the patient.

I have also been fortunate to enjoy several different hobbies.  I am a voracious home remodeler.  I lay tile, build cabinets, fix just about anything and am constantly in search of the perfect crown moulding.    Both my wife and I volunteer regularly for SaveABunny, a local rabbit rescue to support animal rescue here in Marin County.  

Plastic Surgery is still after all of these years, a most wonderful and interesting career that I enjoy each and every day.
